Through the Storm we Reach the Shore

You are not an accident. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He wanted you alive and created you for a purpose. Focusing on yourself will never reveal your purpose. You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. Only in God do we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny.

TIBI Spring 2012 RTW

A few of my favorite looks from Tibi's Spring 2012 RTW line. I had the privilege of interning with Tibi this past summer, working in the outlet retail store and the warehouse and distribution center. Amy's has such a classic style that any woman can wear.

Figs & Fashion

Caroline Issa
I have a new obsession with figs. This salad is a mix of sweetness from the figs, smoothness from the goat cheese, bite from the arugula, and the salty, vinegary crunch of pickled onions. For the dressing mix a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, reduce it on a stove top and drizzle onto mixture. I am trying to eat as many salads as I can before its fall. Tastespotting.com is the best place to find recipes for any craving.

The Confusion and the Doubts You Had Up and Walk Away

Met her halfway to Birmingham
Leaving middle Tennessee
Made a speech to say inside my head
Swore that I’d say everything

“I’ve been giving you my life, and I’m always on time
Four years are enough to decide, whether I’m you’re kind.”

“And I’ve been thinkin’ bout the country
Thinking bout you and me.
I’ve been thinking where I do belong
And why, you belong with me.”

In frustration she had bowed her head
And I could hardly breathe
Reminisced on the times we had
But said that she would have to leave

“It’s hard, hard to walk away from you
But we don’t live at the same speed.
You’re gonna make somebody happy.
But that someone, ain’t me.”

“Cause when you’re thinking bout the country
You’re just trying to be with me
Seasons change the way that we are
and spring changed me.”

Met her halfway to Birmingham
Leaving middle Tennessee
Made a speech to say inside my head
Swore that I’d say anything, to keep you here
